Dr.Gwendolyn Amarquaye Bayitse

Dr. Gwendolyn Amarquaye Bayitse is a passionate and dedicated Ghanaian dentist, deeply committed to enhancing oral health care and education in her community. As a pediatric dentist at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, she specializes in delivering comprehensive dental care tailored specifically for children. Her expertise ensures that young patients receive the highest standard of oral health services in a nurturing and compassionate environment.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Amarquaye Bayitse serves as the treasurer of the National Executive Council of the Ghana Dental Association. In this role, she plays a vital part in developing and implementing policies designed to elevate dental practices across the nation.

Beyond her clinical and administrative responsibilities, Dr. Amarquaye Bayitse is the resident dentist on "Time with The Dentist," a dental television show produced by Pepsodent in collaboration with the Ghana Dental Association. This program aims to educate Ghanaians on essential oral hygiene practices, proper dental care, and dispelling common myths associated with maintaining good oral health.

Through her diverse roles and unwavering dedication, Dr. Gwendolyn Amarquaye Bayitse is making a significant impact on the landscape of dental health care in Ghana, inspiring both her patients and her peers to prioritize oral health.

Dr. Helen Wireko

Dr. Helen A. K. Wireko is a Restorative Dental Surgeon with a special interest in Fixed Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry. She possesses extensive expertise in restorative and aesthetic dentistry and is committed to enhancing both the function and appearance of teeth and the overall oral health of her clients.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Wireko is deeply passionate about academia and mentoring the next generation of dentists. Driven by her dedication to teaching and shaping future professionals, She actively contributes to the training of undergraduate dental students in both the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) School of Dentistry and the University of Ghana Dental School (UGDS).

In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Dr. Wireko plays a vital leadership role in the dental community. As the Female Executive Member of the Ghana Dental Association, she advocates for the advancement of dentistry and the professional growth of its members.

Her unwavering commitment to dentistry, education, and leadership makes her a respected figure in Ghana’s dental landscape.

Dr. Philip Boadi Frimpong

Dr. Philip Boadi Frimpong is an Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologist, with research area in head & neck tumours with special interest in oral cancers , a Lecturer, and Dental Administrator dedicated to advancing oral healthcare and education in Ghana.

He serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Basic & Diagnostic Oral Health at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he Lectures in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine. His expertise in oral & maxillofacial pathology allows him to contribute significantly to the diagnosis and management of complex oral diseases.

Beyond academia, Dr. Frimpong plays a key role in dental governance and advocacy. He is an executive member of the Ghana Dental Association (GDA), serving as the General Secretary of the National Executive Council. In this capacity, he actively contributes to policy-making, professional development, and the promotion of oral health across the country.In addition to his academic and leadership roles, he provides high-quality dental care while ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic for clinical students . His commitment to both clinical excellence and healthcare administration makes him a respected figure in Ghana’s dental community.

Dr. Michael Awua-Mensah

Dr. Michael Awua-Mensah, a dentist, global ambassador for the FDI World Oral Health Day, Director for a non-profit, influencer and a digital content creator in Ghana, is passionate about oral health beyond his practice. He works to improve oral health knowledge through social media and community outreach programs. He stresses proper brushing and works to integrate oral health education into public health initiatives.

Dr. Awua-Mensah believes access to affordable oral hygiene products is crucial and advocates for policies that make fluoride toothpaste more available. He sees oral health as a collaborative effort and works to bring together NGOs, schools, and media to address the issue.

His vision extends to creating healthy environments. He promotes policies for nutritious school meals, limitations on sugary drinks, and tobacco control. He also advocates for transparency in oral health policy-making.

In schools, Dr. Awua-Mensah envisions a focus on both academics and oral health. He advocates for clean water, sanitation, healthy food options, and the elimination of unhealthy snacks and drinks. He sees collaboration with the government and international initiatives as key to success.

Dr. Awua-Mensah is committed to empowering Ghanaians to achieve good oral health through policy changes, collaboration, and innovative approaches. He sees healthy smiles as a norm for the future.

Dr. Esi Fuaba Afful

Dr. Esi Fuaba Afful earned her Bachelor of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Ghana. She completed her internships at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) before transitioning into private practice.

She is currently the CEO of Right Dental Care, a leading dental practice in East Legon, Accra, Ghana. In this role, she oversees the strategic growth and daily operations of the practice while upholding the highest standards of patient-centered care. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Dr. Afful remains actively involved in clinical practice, specializing in general and cosmetic dentistry. Committed to continuous learning and professional excellence, she regularly attends local and international courses to enhance patient experiences and advance dental standards.

Beyond her practice, Dr. Afful leverages various platforms to promote oral health awareness and in her free time, enjoys reading, photography, playing tennis, and spending quality time with family.

Dr.Yaw Gyebi Owusu-Achaew

Dr. Yaw Gyebi Owusu-Acheaw is a Ghanaian dental practitioner known for his dedication to oral healthcare. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.D.M.) degree from Sta. Mesa De Ocampo in 2021 and has since been committed to advancing dental practice in Ghana.Beyond dentistry, Dr. Owusu-Acheaw is also a seasoned model, professionally known as Black Panther.

His passion for fashion and modeling complements his dynamic personality, allowing him to excel in both the healthcare and creative industries.In addition to his professional roles, he plays a key role in digital outreach as he manages the Ghana Dental Association’s (GDA) social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.

Through this platform, he helps promote oral health awareness and engagement within the dental community.Dr. Owusu-Acheaw’s multifaceted career showcases his dedication to both healthcare and the arts, making him a well-respected figure in the dental and fashion industries.

Dr. Louisa Ansong-Satekla

Dr. Louisa Ansong-Satekla is a distinguished Ghanaian dental surgeon and public health consultant renowned for her exceptional contributions to oral health and public service. She practices at Charisma Dental Clinic in Accra, providing specialized dental care to a diverse clientele, including local and international celebrities.

Her dedication to healthcare has been recognized with awards such as graduating as the Overall Best Student and receiving six out of nine awards during her graduation from Knust school of dentistry 2016, the “Ghana Outstanding Woman in Health” at the 2021 Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) and “Health Personality of the Year” at the 2022 Women’s Choice Awards Africa (WCAA).

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Ansong-Satekla serves as an official ambassador for the FDI World Dental Federation’s World Oral Health Day, utilizing her platform to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene. She is also a brand ambassador for Ghandour Cosmetics and Verna Water, reflecting her commitment to promoting health and wellness.

Dr.Ritchel Ackom-Mensah

Dr. Ritchel Ackom-Mensah is a Restorative Dentistry Resident in her second year of training, primarily focusing on Prosthodontics and Endodontics but with a keen interest in Cosmetic and Aesthetic dentistry. Her expertise extends beyond clinical practice, as she is also an Event Designer and Design artist, skills that enhance her understanding of facial aesthetics and smile design.

Her unique background allows her to blend artistry with dentistry, making her particularly skilled in cosmetic dentistry-helping patients achieve both functional and aesthetically pleasing smiles. With a passion for beauty and precision, Dr. Ackom-Mensah continues to refine her skills in Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry, striving to provide patients with transformative dental care.

Dr. Martin Atta Boateng Senyah Jnr

Dr. Martin Atta Boateng Senyah Jnr is a dentist, AI consultant, and digital solutions expert dedicated to improving healthcare and business efficiency through technology. He holds a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery , Digital Marketing Strategy and Economics .

Dr.Rita Akwei

Dr. Rita Akwei is a distinguished orthodontist and senior specialist affiliated with both Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC). In addition to her roles at these prominent institutions, she serves as a resident orthodontist at Zoe Dental Centre, a leading dental clinic located in Dzorwulu, Accra.

At Zoe Dental Centre, Dr. Akwei is part of a dedicated team committed to providing comprehensive dental services, including orthodontic treatments, to ensure optimal oral health for their patients. The clinic prides itself on its state-of-the-art facilities and a patient-centered approach, aiming to deliver exceptional care in a comfortable environment.

Dr. Akosua Asaa Twum-Barimah

Dr Akosua Asaah Twum- Barimah is a periodontist dedicated and committed to restoring oral health and preserving smiles through evidence-based approaches, including scaling and root planing, regenerative procedures, and dental implantology.

Her passion lies in periodontal medicine - a discipline exploring the profound connection between periodontal diseases and systemic health. She hopes to research and advocate for awareness of how conditions like chronic kidney disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and adverse pregnancy outcomes are linked to untreated gum inflammation. Alice Ntim is the Administrative Assistant of the Ghana Dental Association. She ensures smooth daily operations and effective member services. She also manages correspondence, schedules meetings, and supports key programs like the World Oral Health day, Annual General Congress etc in . With strong organizational and multitasking skills, she serves as a vital link between executives, dental professionals, and stakeholders. Alice is dedicated to advancing the dental profession in Ghana through her professionalism and commitment to excellence.
